Testing period: 6 weeks
Skin type: Oily
Main concerns: Visible pores, oiliness and occasional breakouts
Review based on: My personal experience
I used to think toner was an unnecessary step in my skincare routine.
My routine was mostly just face wash, moisturizer and sunscreen. But because I have oily skin and visible pores around my nose and cheeks, I eventually decided to give the Plum Green Tea Alcohol-Free Toner a try.
I had seen the product being recommended for oily and acne-prone skin, and I was particularly interested in the claims around the appearance of pores.
So instead of judging it after using it for a few days, I decided to use it consistently for six weeks.
And this review ( Plum Green Tea Alcohol-Free Toner review ) is going to be a little different from the usual skincare reviews.
I didn’t notice the pore-minimizing result I was hoping for.
My pores looked more or less the same from the beginning of my test to the end of the six weeks.
So rather than telling you what I think the product should do, I’m going to share what actually happened on my skin.
Disclaimer: This review is based on my personal six-week experience using the product. Experiences can vary from person to person. This content is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice.
Why I Bought This Toner
My main reason for buying this toner was my oily skin and visible pores.
I regularly noticed that the pores around my nose and nearby cheek area were quite noticeable.
- By the age of 21 I started to see pores with naked eyes they have enlarged
- They are more visible on my nose as well as on the side of the nose (cheeks)
- I even have oily skin but I didn’t bought this for oily skin
- I was hoping that this toner minimize or shrink my pores
I was particularly interested in seeing whether regular use would make my pores look less noticeable.
That was probably the biggest thing I wanted to evaluate during my test.
What I Expected From It
Before I started using the toner, I had a few expectations.
I wanted:
- My skin to feel fresh after cleansing
- My pores to look less noticeable
- A product that would be easy to add to my routine
- Something lightweight that wouldn’t feel heavy on my skin
Looking back, I think it’s important to mention these expectations because they became the basis for how I judged the product later.
My Skin Before Using the Toner
Before starting the six-week test, my skin was:
- Oily
- More noticeable around my nose and cheeks
- Visible pores around my T-zone
- Some old acne marks
- Occasional breakouts
My skin before starting my six-week test with Plum Green Tea Alcohol-Free Toner.
What the Toner Looks and Feels Like
The toner is a lightweight liquid, so applying it didn’t add much time to my routine.

My experience with the texture
The texture is water based and it comes in a spray bottle which is good part of this
- I like the texture
- I did feel sticky ness on my skin
- This toner has fragrance which I didn’t like
- It fried with in a minute
- My skin used to feel tight after applying it
- I used my hands when I applied it
How I Used the Toner
I kept the routine fairly simple.
Morning
- Face wash
- Plum Green Tea Toner
- Moisturizer
- Serum (sometimes not daily)
- Sunscreen
Night
- Face wash
- Plum Green Tea Toner
- Moisturizer
I tried to keep the routine reasonably consistent throughout my test because I wanted to see how my skin responded over several weeks.
However, I was using other skincare products at the same time, so I can’t say that every change I noticed was caused by this toner.

Did Plum Toner Minimize My Pores?
This was the main question I had when I bought it.
My honest answer:

I’m not saying that nobody will notice a difference from this product. I’m only sharing what happened on my skin.
🟨 [ADD YOUR BEFORE/AFTER PHOTO COMPARISON HERE]
This is also why I don’t want to give the product a positive result just because the product is marketed around pore appearance.
My personal result simply wasn’t noticeable.
Did I Notice Any Other Benefits?
Even though I didn’t see the pore change I was hoping for, I may have noticed other things while using the toner.
- My skin feel fresh after using it
- It didn’t make my skin smoother
- This product fit easily into my routine
- I didn’t notice any shrink or minimize in my pores
What I Would Change About My Review
One thing I learned from testing this product is that I shouldn’t judge a skincare product only by what the brand or other people say about it.
I wanted to see a visible difference in my pores.
I gave it six weeks.
I compared my skin with how it looked when I started.
And for me, the difference wasn’t there.
That’s why I’m not going to tell you that this toner reduced my pores when I personally didn’t see that happen.
Pros and Cons From My Experience
What I Liked
- l like the packaging of the product
- The Toner came in a spray bottle which made my routine much easier
- 2 TO 3 spray are enough to cover my entire face
What I Didn’t Like
- I didn’t notice a meaningful change in my pore appearance.
- I think the smell is not good in skin care product as fragrance may irritate the skin
Would I Buy It Again?
After six weeks of using it:
NO
My reason:
“I personally wouldn’t repurchase it because the main reason I bought it was to see whether my pores would look less noticeable, and I didn’t see enough of a difference to justify buying it again.”
Who I Think Might Like This Toner
Based on my experience, I would consider it if:
- People who have very oily skin because it some how make the skin tight after using it
- who just want to add more products in their skin care routine
This is simply my opinion based on using the product.
My Final Verdict
After using Plum Green Tea Alcohol-Free Toner for six weeks, my experience was quite straightforward.
I bought it mainly because I wanted to see whether it would make my visible pores look less noticeable.
It didn’t.
My pores looked more or less the same from the beginning of my test to the end.
There may be people who have a different experience with this toner, but I can only speak about what happened when I used it.
For me, the biggest takeaway was that the product didn’t deliver the particular result I was looking for.
My Rating: 2/5
My rating is based on my personal experience with the product, including its texture, how it felt on my skin, how easy it was to use and, most importantly, whether it delivered the result I was personally looking for.
My Quick Rating
| Category | My Rating |
|---|---|
| Texture | 4 /5 |

| Feel on my skin | 2/5 |
| Overall experience | 2/5 |
| Results for my pores | 0 /5 |

Did Plum toner minimize my pores?
In my experience, I didn’t notice a meaningful change in the appearance of my pores after six weeks.
3. Will it dry out my skin like other toners do?
No this is actually the core selling point of the product. It’s marketed as having an alcohol-free, non-drying formula that shrinks pores without the harshness typical astringents cause. I didn’t get the pore-related result I was looking for, so I wouldn’t personally say it delivered the result I bought it for.

Did I experience irritation?
No, I Didn’t felt any redness or irritation in my skin
Would I buy it again?
No I wouldn’t Buy it again in the next days
